ORIGINAL ACRYLIC PORTRAIT PAINTING

TRIBUTE TO TOULOUSE-LAUTREC

This is a reinterpretation of a painting by the great artist Toulouse-Lautrec. On cardboard it gives the painting an aged stressed feel, suitable for the Bohemian life and art of the celebrated painter.

Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse-Lautrec-Monfa (24 November 1864 – 9 September 1901) was a French painter, printmaker, draughtsman, caricaturist and illustrator whose immersion in the colourful and theatrical life of Paris in the late 19th century allowed him to produce a collection of enticing, elegant, and provocative images of the modern, sometimes decadent, affairs of those times.

Toulouse-Lautrec is among the best-known painters of the Post-Impressionist period

A piece of 'scrap art' it is work created using recycled materials. In this instance the cardboard lends the work a distressed/aged feel.

Created using acrylics on cardboard and varnished, this work of art would grace any home or office wall. A great gift for a friend or relative.
